Hey everyone! It’s been about a year since The Plague started a social media break. Now that we’re back, we thought we’d explain a little bit about our absence and where we are going from here. We hope you will come along for the ride!

Who is The Plague?

The Plague is David Adam Monroe, a singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter from Rochester, N.Y. Working with long-time collaborative partner Orrin Hoffman, The Plague is set to release all new music and audio-visual content on Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube. Where Have We Been?

Last year was really tough. David’s dad passed away in March, followed by the deaths of two of his grandparents. As you can imagine, he needed some time to grieve and heal. The Plague took a backseat to his personal obligations.

Today, David has come to a point where he is ready to take the pain and growth he has experienced as a result of his loss and turn it into new music. He hopes it will inspire listeners and maybe even help them get through their own tough times.

A Spiritual Journey

The devastating losses David suffered in the past year have led him to a new understanding of his faith in Jesus Christ. His relationship with the Lord has deepened and become an even greater part of his life.

The Plague has always been about hope for the future. Today, David has more hope than ever and wants to share that with his fans. Because The Plague’s music is authentic and personal, you will hear David’s faith come through in his music.

What Should Fans Expect From New Music?

The Plague is working on a new album full of the energetic, alternative rock music our listeners enjoy. David hopes that the new songs will have more depth and meaning than ever. He wants to reach out to those affected by “the plague” of apathy and disconnection prevalent in the world today. With his music, he wants to foster a greater sense of connection between his listeners and the world around them.

In addition, David will be working on new praise and worship music with the same exciting, hard-driving sound you’ve come to expect from The Plague.
